Bowmore Unveils No Corners to Hide Travel Retail Exclusive
Bowmore has unveiled No Corners to Hide, a limited edition series of single malt Scotch whiskies created in collaboration between acclaimed graphic artist Frank Quitely, who has illustrated for Marvel and DC Comics, and Bowmore’s Master Blender Ron Welsh.
Launching with two expressions – a 23 year old and a 32 year old – Bowmore No Corners to Hide is inspired by myths and legends from the island of Islay. Each bottle in the collaboration features exclusive designs and artwork from Frank Quitely showcasing Islay’s history and stories of a bygone era.
Bowmore No Corners to Hide 23 Year Old was matured for 21 years in ex-bourbon American oak hogsheads, finished for two years in Essencia barriques, and bottled at 51.5% ABV. It’s described as having “a hint of beeswax, a scent of incense, and a struck match to transport the senses to Bowmore’s round church.”
Bowmore No Corners to Hide 32 Year Old was matured for 30 years in ex-bourbon American oak hogsheads, finished for two years in Essencia barriques, and bottled at 47.3% ABV. It’s described as having notes of “beeswax, incense, and struck match, evolving to Seville orange peel merged with the aromas of an old cigar box, but with sweet and floral interjections, and finishing with a touch of liquorice and iodine.”
Bowmore No Corners to Hide 23 Year Old and 32 Year Old are exclusively available at select Global Travel Retail outlets including Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Vienna, Dubai, Singapore and Taiwan.
