Johnnie Walker Launches Johnnie Blonde in Houston
Johnnie Walker has announced the launch of Johnnie Blonde, a “sweeter, smoother” Blended Scotch Whisky seemingly created with cocktails in mind.
Bottled at 40% ABV, Johnnie Blonde is described as having aromas of “vanilla mixed with toffee, topped with bright berries.” On the palate, it exhibits notes of “sweet vanilla and apple, lightly spiced and drizzled with caramel”, concluding with a “smooth and light” finish.
Johnnie Walker recommends mixing Johnnie Blonde with lemon-lime soda to bring out the whisky’s sweet, fruity notes, and with soda or ginger ale for a more creamy vanilla forward cocktail.
Johnnie Blonde is now available in Houston, Texas, with additional markets to follow at a later date. It carries a suggested retail price of $24.99 for a 750 mL bottle and will also be available in 50 mL nips.
