Lagavulin Launches Offerman Edition Finished in Guinness Casks

Lagavulin and celebrity Nick Offerman have partnered to launch Lagavulin Offerman Edition: Guinness Cask Finish, the second limited edition single malt Scotch whisky created collaboratively by Offerman and Lagavulin.
Offerman is perhaps best known for his portrayal of Ron Swanson on American sitcom Parks and Recreation, which originally aired from 2009-2015. Over the course of the series, viewers would learn about Swanson’s love for Lagavulin whisky. That passion carried over to the real world where Offerman became a spokesman for the brand, even collaborating to release the ex-Bourbon matured Lagavulin Offerman Edition Aged 11 Years in late 2019.
This new Lagavulin Offerman Edition carries an 11 year age statement and has been finished for four months in former Guinness Beer casks from the Open Gate Brewery in Maryland. Bottled at 46% ABV, Lagavulin Offerman Edition: Guinness Cask Finish is described as “a glorious adventure in sweet peat through the combination of the intense peat and charred wood notes of Lagavulin with the roasted coffee, dark chocolate and sweet caramel notes from the Guinness casks.”
Lagavulin Offerman Edition: Guinness Cask Finish will be available at stores beginning this month and carries a suggested retail price of $79.99 for a 750 mL bottle.
