Teeling Whiskey Releases Blackpitts Peated Single Malt

Teeling Blackpitts Peated Single Malt

Teeling Whiskey has announced the launch of Blackpitts, a triple distilled, peated single malt Irish whiskey matured in ex-Bourbon and ex-Sauternes white wine casks.

Teeling claims the triple distillation process used during production of Blackpitts reduces some of the medicinal character typically associated with a traditional Scottish Peated Single Malt and allows the barbeque notes to shine.

Teeling Blackpitts is described as having aromas of “barbeque smoke, cloves, butterscotch, and orange peel”, with notes of “Applewood smoke, honey, all spice, stewed pears, and fresh grilled pineapple” on the palate, finishing with “savoury smoke, a lingering wood undertone, and salted caramel.”

Teeling Blackpitts Peated Single Malt is bottled NCF (Non Chill-Filtered) at 46% ABV and will be available in Ireland at the Teeling Whiskey Distillery, The Celtic Whiskey Shop, and over 70 export markets at a suggested retail price of €60.00 (~$70.00).
