High West Yippee Ki-Yay Discontinued

High West Whiskey has announced the discontinuation of Yippee Ki-Yay as part of an effort to reevaluate and refocus their portfolio.
Launched on December 5th, 2015 to commemorate Repeal Day, High West Yippee Ki-Yay was a blend of straight rye whiskeys aged from 2 to 16 years in new, charred, white American oak barrels and finished in French oak barrels that previously contained vermouth and Syrah wine.
The first batch of Yippee Ki-Yay was a blend of straight rye whiskeys sourced from MGP and Barton, but the composition of each batch has changed over the years. The last iteration was composed of straight rye whiskeys from MGP (95% rye, 5% barley malt), Barton (53% rye, 37% corn, 10% barley), and High West Distillery (80% Rye, 20% malted rye). Only 29,646 bottles of Yippee Ki-Yay were ever produced.

Thank you for the info we have been watching the shelves for this to come back. Do you recommend anything comparable?
High West A Midwinter Night’s Dram and barrel finished High West Double Rye and Rendezvous Rye single barrel offerings may be comparable to Yippee Ki-Yay, but they’re tough to find and may not be available in your area.
Just found 2 bottles that were put out at a local store over the weekend.. are you sure its been discontinued? They are batch 18c29
Yes, High West officially announced the discontinuation via their High West Whisky Club Newsletter. You won’t have trouble finding a bottle in the short term as there are suppliers and stores still sitting on inventory, but once that dries up, it’ll be gone for good.
What YKY batch was the last to contain old Barton Rye (16 years)?
