Johnnie Walker Launches Master's Ruby Reserve

Johnnie Walker has launched Master’s Ruby Reserve, a limited edition blended Scotch whisky honoring Johnnie Walker Master Blender Jim Beveridge’s forty years of dedication to the craft of whisky.

Johnnie Walker Master’s Ruby Reserve is a blend of eight whiskies, all of which are at least 40 years old and have been personally selected by Jim. Whiskies from the shuttered distilleries of Cambus, Carsebridge, Pittyvaich, and Port Ellen combine with whiskies from the active distilleries of Talisker, Royal Lochnagar, Glendullan, and Cragganmore to create a “full-bodied whisky with layers of rich fruit, dark chocolate, plums, cherries, and soft aromatic sea salt notes.”

“Every whisky that has gone into the creation of this new expression holds a special place in my heart. I worked at each of these distilleries during various points of my career and the flavours and smells of those whiskies transport me back to very happy times throughout my career at Johnnie Walker,” said Jim.

Johnnie Walker Master’s Ruby Reserve is bottled in a handcrafted golden-red Baccarat crystal decanter encased in a wooden presentation box and is limited to only 398 bottles, available now at a suggested retail price of £15,000 (~$17,360).
