Old Forester Relaunches Single Barrel Program
Old Forester is revamping the Single Barrel program available to retailers and other customers who purchase full barrels from the distillery. The new Single Barrel program eliminates the 90 Proof Single Barrel offering and introduces two new options: a 100 Proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whisky and an unfiltered Barrel Strength Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whisky.
Barrels that produce 100 Proof Bourbon are expected to yield approximately 200 bottles and carry a suggested retail price of $49.99 for a 750 mL bottle. Barrels that produce Barrel Strength Bourbon are expected to yield approximately 160 bottles and carry a suggested retail price of $79.99 for a 750 mL bottle.
Alongside the announcement of the new Single Barrel program, Old Forester reiterated that they currently have no plans to offer a Single Barrel product outside the private Single Barrel program, which means the 100 Proof and Barrel Strength expressions will be available exclusively at Old Forester Distilling Co. and retailers who have hand-selected their own private barrels.
