Aberfeldy & Craigellachie Launch Exceptional Cask Series in the US
Bacardi, parent company of the Aberfeldy and Craigellachie distilleries, has announced the US launch of their Exceptional Cask Series, an annual release of limited edition expressions hand-selected by Master Blender Stephanie Macleod.
This year’s collection consists of five expressions:
- Aberfeldy 18 Years Old Double Cask
- Finished in Sherry casks.
- “Sweet and spicy, with notes of salted caramel and dark chocolate that are heightened with marmalade, almonds and honey.”
- 53.8% ABV.
- MSRP: $199.99 for 750 mL.
- Aberfeldy 19 Years Old Single Cask
- Matured in first fill Sherry Butt casks.
- “Intense notes of concentrated fruits and mixed spice, luscious in texture with a long, satisfying finish.”
- 56.6% ABV.
- MSRP: $199.99 for 750 mL.
- Aberfeldy 24 Years Old Single Cask
- Matured in first fill Sherry Butt casks.
- “Savoury and subtle herbal and spice notes, which develops to be slightly smoky.”
- 53.9% ABV.
- MSRP: $299.99 for 750 mL.
- Craigellachie 19 Years Old Single Cask
- Matured in second fill Sherry Butt casks.
- “Smooth with subtle spice, liquorice and ripening pineapple, and cloaked in creamy vanilla and malty sweetness.”
- 55.2% ABV.
- MSRP: $199.99 for 750 mL.
- Craigellachie 23 Years Old Single Cask
- Matured in first fill Oloroso Sherry casks.
- “A supple, luscious dram that delivers pineapple studded notes with cloves, dusted with cinnamon and baked on the barbeque.”
- 57.5% ABV.
- MSRP: $299.99 for 750 mL.
The Exceptional Cask Series will be available at US retailers in highly limited quantities beginning in November.
