WhistlePig Double Malt 18 Year Old Straight Rye Whiskey Revealed
Earlier this month, we learned about WhistlePig Piggyback Rye, a new 6 year old rye whiskey intended to fill the budget friendly, entry level product gap in WhistlePig’s portfolio. Piggyback Rye won’t be the only addition to WhistlePig’s product range, as labels submitted to the TTB have revealed WhistlePig Double Malt.
WhistlePig Double Malt is an 18 year old straight rye whiskey sourced from Alberta Distillers in Canada and distilled from a mash bill of 79% rye, 15% malted rye, and 6% malted barley. WhistlePig Double Malt 18 Year Old will be bottled at 92 proof (46% ABV) and is expected to hit stores later this year.
