WhistlePig Launches The Boss Hog XIII: The Golden Pharaoh
WhistlePig has launched The Boss Hog XIII: The Golden Pharaoh, a single barrel, barrel strength, straight Rye whiskey aged in new American oak and finished in barrels seasoned with Egyptian black honey and tiger nuts.
Due to the variable nature of single barrel products, bottles of The Boss Hog XIII: The Golden Pharaoh will vary from 102.6–105.6 proof (51.3-52.8% ABV).
WhistlePig The Boss Hog XIII: The Golden Pharaoh is described as having aromas of “brown sugar, cinnamon, and toasted almond, with a rich, pastry like warmth.” On the palate, “deep molasses gives way to honey sweetness, balanced by baking spice and black pepper.” It concludes with “toasted almond alongside fresh oatmeal, settling into a long, warming close.”
The Boss Hog XIII is presented in a tomb-inspired gift box, and each bottle is crowned with a pewter topper inspired by The Golden Pharaoh, King Tut. For the collectors out there, a select number of bottles will be crowned with an exceptionally rare gold topper.
