Bardstown Bourbon Company Launches Victoria Pineapple Barrel Finish Whiskey
Bardstown Bourbon Company has announced the launch of Victoria Pineapple Barrel Finish Whiskey, the first release in its new Finishing Series.
Victoria Pineapple Barrel Finish Whiskey was crafted from a custom blend of 10 and 11 year old bourbons and 11 year old rye married and matured in Caribbean-sourced pineapple rum casks. Letting the custom whiskey blend mature for 27 months, fresh pineapple was added to the barrels, mirroring the process of the original rum’s creation to reveal the tropical notes already developing in the whiskey.
Bottled at 106 proof (53% ABV), Victoria Pineapple Barrel Finish Whiskey is described as having aromas of “bold tropical fruit, rye, spice, and allspice.” The palate exhibits notes of “pineapple, cherry, and toasted oak.” It concludes with notes of “vanilla crème and toffee.”
Victoria Pineapple Barrel Finish Whiskey is limited to fewer than 4,200 bottles and is available exclusively in Kentucky – including at the Bardstown Bourbon Co distillery and Louisville Tasting Room – for a suggested retail price of $139.99.
