Blade and Bow has announced the release of 12 Year Old Solera Reserve, a new limited annual expression crafted by Nicole Austin, the Director of American Whiskey Liquid Development and Capabilities at Diageo.

To create Blade and Bow Solera Reserve, a 12 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon is guided through a multi‑vat Solera finishing and blending process in four styles of vintage wine and spirits vats – Cognac, Bordeaux, Moscatel, and Port – and bottled at 52% ABV.

Official tasting notes for Blade and Bow 12 Year Old Solera Reserve follow:

Blade and Bow Solera Reserve opens with an inviting warmth – golden honey, soft vanilla, and the gentle perfume of ripe orchard fruit rising from the glass. On the palate, it unfolds with a silky richness, layering caramel and baked apple over a subtle thread of spice that builds with quiet confidence. The solera process lends a seamless harmony, where each note feels connected, rounded, and complete.

The finish lingers with elegance – sweet, spiced, and lightly oaked – leaving behind a lasting impression of balance and refinement, a whiskey that feels both timeless and meticulously crafted.

Blade and Bow 12 Year Old Solera Reserve will be available in select markets nationwide, including GA, IL, KY, NC, OH, SC, and TX, beginning July 2026 for a suggested retail price of $64.99 per 750 mL bottle.
