Witchmark Distillery Appoints Mark Riley as Managing Director
Witchmark Distillery has announced the appointment of Mark Riley as Managing Director.
Riley brings nearly 30 years of experience at the highest levels of the premium spirits industry. Having held senior roles at Diageo, Beam Inc, and Maxxium UK, he became Managing Director of Edrington UK in 2015, where he was at the helm of brands such as The Macallan and Highland Park.
Riley’s appointment coincides with the stepping down of co-founder Alistair Munro, who has led Witchmark from initial concept through to operational distillery, commercial launch, and B Corp certification. Under Munro’s stewardship, Witchmark has grown into one of England’s most advanced and sustainably accredited distilleries, with over 1,000 casks now maturing and a first whisky release planned for late 2027.
