Blue Note Launches Third Annual Special Reserve Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Blue Note Bourbon has announced the launch of its third annual Special Reserve Straight Bourbon Whiskey.

The third annual release of Blue Note Special Reserve is a blend of 9 different casks from Kentucky and Tennessee – cognac, madeira, sherry, port, vino de Naranja, vanilla cognac, apricot brandy, cognac, and winter bock – ranging in age from five to 19 years with varying mashbills. Blue Note 2026 Special Reserve is presented unfiltered and bottled at 119 proof (59.5% ABV).

  • Vino De Naranja: 41% | Age: 7 | Origin: KY | Mash Bill: 70/21/9
  • Vanilla Cognac: 15% | Age: 5 | Origin: KY | Mash Bill: 70/21/9
  • Apricot Brandy: 11% | Age: 5 | Origin: KY | Mash Bill: 70/21/9
  • Cognac: 12% | Age: 7 | Origin: KY | Mash Bill: 70/21/9
  • Winter Bock: 10% | Age: 5 | Origin: KY | Mash Bill: 70/21/9

Blue Note 2026 Special Reserve is described as having aromas of “light molasses layered over dry cedar and a gentle clove spice.” The palate is “rich and savory, led by cedar and warming spice, unfolding into dried apricot, allspice, peanut, and vanilla.” It concludes with “a soft comforting finish that lingers warmly near the sternum.”

Blue Note 2026 Special Reserve is limited to approximately 2,100 bottles and is available for purchase at bluenotebourbon.com and in select U.S. states for a suggested retail price of $149.99 for a 750 mL bottle.
