The London Distillery Company has announced the launch of Ten Times Around the Sun, London’s oldest single malt whisky to date.

Distilled using Quench spring barley and filled into an ex-bourbon barrel on October 20, 2015, Ten Times Around the Sun matured for 10 years before being bottled at 51.4% ABV. It is presented non-chill filtered and of natural color, and is limited to just 220 bottles.

Official tasting notes for Ten Times Around the Sun follow:

The result is a bright, fruit-forward whisky, opening with notes of peach and mango layered with soft sweetness and gentle oak spice. The palate brings syrupy preserved fruits, milk chocolate and creamy cereal character, balanced by warming cask spice. A long finish of lingering ripe fruit and subtle Szechuan pepper adds a distinctive, lingering complexity.

Ten Times Around the Sun carries a recommended retail price of £89.95 and will be available to purchase beginning Friday, February 27 via londondistillery.co.uk.
