WhistlePig Re-Releases PiggyBank Rye Gold Edition
WhistlePig Whiskey has announced the re-release of WhistlePig PiggyBank Rye Gold Edition.
Presented in a gold coated decanter to celebrate WhistlePig’s standing as the world’s most awarded Rye Whiskey, PiggyBank Rye Gold Edition is a limited edition 10 year old Rye whiskey bottled in a porcine decanter based on a 19th century Berkshire Bitter Pig. Inside the decanter, you’ll find WhistlePig’s flagship 10 Year Old Rye, presented with an extra 10 proof – bottled at 110 proof instead of the 100 proof of WhistlePig Small Batch Rye.
WhistlePig PiggyBank Rye Gold Edition is described as having aromas of “antique dried cedar, nutmeg, cinnamon, and candied ginger.” The palate exhibits notes of “vanilla extract and butterscotch that give way to crushed black peppercorns.” It finishes with “black pepper that lingers and softens, ending with a baked cinnamon note.”
