The House of Suntory Unveils Hibiki x Hiroshi Senju Collaboration
The House of Suntory has unveiled a collaboration between its blended Japanese Whisky, Hibiki, and Japanese painter Hiroshi Senju.
Through the partnership, Hiroshi Senju has created the painting “Waterfall on Colors ‘Hibiki.'” The artwork featuring ten shades of purple, inspired by the deep Kokimurasaki gradient that symbolizes Hibiki, reflecting noble origins and a deep connection to rarity and craftsmanship. This artwork is featured on limited edition releases of Hibiki 21 Years Old and Hibiki 30 Years Old.

For Hibiki 21 Years Old, Senju’s waterfall imagery is featured on both the label and the presentation box.
Hibiki 21 Years Old is described as exhibiting “a blooming, elegant roundness harmonized with the deep complexity of honeycomb, sandalwood, and dried apricot, all complemented by the subtle complexity of Mizunara oak. The finish is long and graceful, tenderly unfolding with a delicate, incense-like aroma.”

Hibiki 30 Years Old is encased in a traditional byōbu-style display with multi-panel screens, complete with a reflective base, an etched Hibiki emblem, and a waterfall wrap at the neck of the crystal bottle.
Hibiki 30 Years Old is described as offering “a complete and resonating journey that unfolds with layers of brown sugar, dried fig, gingerbread, and apricot jam. Exceptionally blended, the finish is rich with blossoming elegance, showcasing the depth of Mizunara oak complemented by a warm hint of cinnamon.”
Both expressions are bottled at 43% ABV and will be available worldwide in limited quantities beginning this month. Hibiki 21 Years Old Artist Collaboration with Hiroshi Senju carries a suggested retail price of $899.99.
