Bushmills Irish Whiskey Announces U.S. Release of 26 Year Old Crystal Malt
Bushmills Irish Whiskey has announced the U.S. release of Bushmills 26 Year Old Crystal Malt.
Bushmills 26 Year Old Crystal Malt is a triple distilled Irish single malt crafted from crystal malt, a unique barley processed to crystallize sugars during kilning. It was casked on November 20, 1997, and maturated for 26 years in first fill bourbon barrels from Kelvin Cooperage in Kentucky, before being bottled at 46% ABV.
Bushmills 26 Year Old Crystal Malt is described as having aromas of “rich caramel, creamy chocolate, and soft oak.” The palate has a “velvety texture with layered vanilla, malt sweetness, and subtle spice.” The finish is “long, warming, and elegantly balanced.”
Bushmills 26 Year Old Crystal Malt is now available in limited quantities across select U.S. markets for a suggested retail price of $1,000.
