Frey Ranch Launches Five Grain Single Barrel Bourbon

Frey Ranch Distillery has announced the launch of Frey Ranch Five Grain Single Barrel Bourbon.
Crafted from all five of the grains grown on-site at the farm – corn, wheat, barley, rye, and oat – Frey Ranch Five Grain Single Barrel Bourbon features a mash bill of 60% corn, 10% wheat, 10% rye, 10% malted barley, and 10% oat.
Two barrels will initially be available: Barrel #3016 and Barrel #3011.
Barrel #3016 was aged for 6 years, 2 months, and 1 ½ days and bottled at 130.24 proof (65.12% ABV). It’s described as having aromas of “caramel apples and Fun Dip candy,” while the palate exhibits “a creamy texture of oats and milk chocolate.” The finish is “reminiscent of grandmom’s frosted oatmeal cookies.” Barrel #3016 is limited to 186 bottles.
Barrel #3011 was aged for 6 years, 2 months, and 2 ½ days and bottled at 133.22 proof (66.61% ABV). It’s described as having aromas of “rose petals mixed with jelly donuts,” flavors of “fruitcake” on the palate, and a finish of “rich and creamy dark and malted chocolate.” Barrel #3011 is limited to only 156 bottles.
