Green River Distilling Co. has announced a limited edition Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey commemorating the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary.

The commemorative release is a small batch selection of 4-7 year old barrels featuring a mashbill of 77% corn, 14% rye, and 9% malted barley. It’s presented at 111.1 proof (55.55% ABV) in a nod to Veteran’s Day (November 11) and bottled in Green River’s horseshoe bottle, with a label displaying the Army’s colors.

Green River’s U.S. Army 250th Anniversary Release is described as having aromas of “cinnamon, dried cherry, and light leather,” and notes of “warming spice, vanilla, and caramel” on the palate.

Green River’s U.S. Army 250th Anniversary Release will debut on June 14, 2025 and be available throughout the next year for a suggested retail price of $49.99. It will be available at select military bases, Green River’s homeplaces in Owensboro and Louisville, and select retailers throughout the country.

A portion of the proceeds will go towards charitable causes that support and honor the Armed Forces including The Special Operations Warrior Foundation, the Special Operations Fun, USA Cares, and the Bardstown-Nelson County Veterans Memorial.
