The Shed Distillery Unveils Drumshanbo Tawny Port Cask Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey
The Shed Distillery has revealed its latest limited release, Drumshanbo Tawny Port Cask Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey.
Drumshanbo Tawny Port Cask was triple distilled from malted Irish barley, unmalted Irish barley, and Irish Barra oats, and matured in Tawny Port casks for 7 years before being bottled at 43% ABV (86 Proof).
Drumshanbo Tawny Port Cask is described as having aromas of “almonds and walnuts with deeper undernotes of red fruits and toffee.” The palate exhibits notes of “ripe summer cherries, apricots, and crème brûlée swirl with subtle pot spice.” It concludes with “lingering pot spices that descend with the subtle sweetness of nougat and candied fruits, balanced by a creamy velvet mouthfeel.”
Drumshanbo Tawny Port Cask Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey is now available at select retailers nationwide for $79.99 for a 700 mL.
