Catador Itinerante Launches Editions 03 & 04

Catador Itinerante, an independent bottler specializing in world whiskies, has launched its third and fourth single cask releases in the U.S.
Catador Itinerante Edition 03 and Edition 04 are single malt whiskies from the German distillery SLYRS, located in Bavaria.
Catador Itinerante Edition 03 was distilled at SLYRS in 2017 and spent three years in a 2nd-fill ex-Slyrs American oak cask, followed by an additional four years in a Sauternes wine cask. It was bottled in 2025 at 7 years old and is presented non-chill filtered, with no color added, at a cask strength of 55.4% ABV. Limited to 558 bottles.
Official tasting notes for Catador Itinerante Edition 03 follow: “Vanilla, jasmine, sandalwood, ripe pear, cereal, and a peppery, tangy finish; sweet and sour candy, delicate yet layered.”
Catador Itinerante Edition 04 was distilled at SLYRS in 2015 and spent three years in a virgin American oak cask, followed by an additional six years in a Pineau des Charentes cask. It was bottled in 2025 at 9 years old and is presented non-chill filtered, with no color added, at a cask strength of 55.9% ABV. Limited to 521 bottles.
Official tasting notes for Catador Itinerante Edition 04 follow: “Dried peach, caramelized apple, wild raspberries meld with honeyed spice; a musky, woody finish, evoking a rustic farmer’s market.”
Catador Itinerante Edition 03 and Edition 04 are presented in 375 mL bottles with a suggested retail price of $54.99 each. Both editions are available at select retailers in Massachusetts and New York, with plans to expand to more states in the future. The whiskies are also available through Catador Itinerante’s website with shipping to additional states.
