Bushmills Unveils Second Round of Private Reserve Limited Releases
Bushmills Irish Whiskey has unveiled the second round of whiskies in its Private Reserve series, a limited edition collection of Irish single malts with rare cask finishes.
Crafted by Master Blender Alex Thomas, the Bushmills Private Reserve series is produced from 100% unpeated malted barley and spring water from the River Bush, and triple distilled in small batches in traditional copper pot stills.
The new Private Reserve limited releases consist of four vintage single malts whiskeys, each aged in a combination of sherry and bourbon casks before maturing in a unique third cask.

Bushmills Private Reserve 10 Year Old: Amarone Casks, 2014 Vintage:
Bottled at 47.3% ABV (94.6 Proof) and described as having aromas of “rich dark fruits mingled with cinnamon and warming vanilla,” notes of “ripe cherry, blackberry, damson, and plum mingled with caramelised sugar, chocolate, and gentle oak” on the palate, concluding with “mellow rich ripe fruit and a long, dry finish.” SRP: $59.99.
Bushmills Private Reserve 10 Year: Old Moscatel Casks, 2013 Vintage:
Bottled at 48.5% ABV (97 Proof) and described as having aromas of “gentle floral notes, carmelized sugar, and orange blossom,” notes of “jam sweetness, hints of vanilla, ripe mandarin orange, peach, and apricots with just a touch of citrus” on the palate, concluding with a “sweet and fruity, slightly dry, long finish.” SRP: $59.99.
Bushmills Private Reserve 12 Year Old: Bordeaux Casks, 2012 Vintage:
Bottled at 47% ABV (94 Proof) and described as having aromas of “ripe plums, wild berries, and rich warm vanilla,” notes of “plum, raspberry, and black cherry mingled with apple, honey, ginger, and vanilla” on the palate, concluding with “gentle spices, lemon peel, and succulent ripe fruits” on the finish. Bushmills Private Reserve 12 Year Old: Tequila Casks, 2012 Vintage:
Bottled at 46.6% ABV (93.2 Proof) and described as having aromas of “sweet honey, warm vanilla, and crisp apple,” notes of “rich dried fruit, warm brown sugar, toasted nuts, sweet melon, decadent fudge, and gentle herbs” on the palate, concluding with “long warming caramel, hints of anise, and sweet fruits” on the finish.
