WhistlePig Launches Snout-to-Tail Bourbon Aged 10 Years
WhistlePig Whiskey has announced the launch of WhistlePig Snout-to-Tail Bourbon – Aged 10 Years.
WhistlePig Snout-to-Tail Bourbon is created from a 10 year old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey that has undergone WhistlePig’s Snout-to-Tail maturation process. This process involves using finishing barrels with two distinctly toasted barrel heads – a Vermont oak medium toast at “the snout” end and a Vermont oak smoked maple wood toast at “the tail.” WhistlePig flips these barrels 180 degrees in its warehouse to capture each barrel head’s unique toasted flavors. WhistlePig Snout-to-Tail Bourbon is bottled at 88 Proof (44% ABV).
To celebrate the launch of WhistlePig Snout-to-Tail Bourbon and WhistlePig’s growing presence in the Bourbon space, the brand has announced that it will be opening The WhistlePig PiggyBank brand outpost in Louisville, KY this summer. The WhistlePig PiggyBank transforms the historic bank building and infamous Bank Shot Billiards space with interactive experiences, exclusive tastings, a bar, and other activities. One highlight of the experience will be the century bank Vault, reinvented to house WhistlePig’s most rare and collectible whiskeys.
WhistlePig Snout-to-Tail Bourbon is described as having aromas of “honey, brown sugar, and toasted cashew.” The palate exhibits flavors of “roasted almonds and baked cornbread.” It finishes with “butterscotch, fresh wheat crust, and cedar.”
WhistlePig Snout-to-Tail Bourbon – Aged 10 Years is now available via WhistlePig’s website and at retailers nationwide for a suggested retail price of $89.99 per 750 mL bottle.
