Good Deeds Spirits has announced its second release: Good Deeds Whiskey Batch #2, a blend of Bourbon and Rye.

Good Deeds Spirits was established in 2021 with the intention of creating collaborative spirits releases with the goal of raising money to benefit important industry causes. Its first release, Good Deeds Malt Whiskey, raised more than $20,000 for the STEPUP Foundation, the diversity and inclusion initiative founded by the American Craft Spirits Association (ACSA).

Good Deeds Whiskey Batch #2 was created in August 2024 from a blend of donated whiskeys: Straight Rye from WhistlePig Whiskey and Bourbon from Black Button Distilling. The blending panel included Erin Lee, Head Distiller at FEW Spirits (Evanston, IL), Liz Rhoades, Director of Whiskey Operations at WhistlePig (Shoreham, VT), Jack Scardino, Distiller at Black Button Distillery (Rochester, NY); Sailor Guevara, Executive Director of Good Deeds Spirits (Salem, MA), and Erica Paul, a STEPUP intern. The whiskey was blended and bottled on-site at Black Button Distilling.

Good Deeds Whiskey Batch #2 is described as having aromas of “caramel, vanilla bean, and maple.” The palate exhibits notes of “brown sugar, cinnamon, warm caramel, soft white pepper, stone fruit, baked apples, marzipan, and vanilla.” The finish is “sweet, rich, and lingering with baking spices and fruit.”

Good Deeds Whiskey Batch #2 is limited to 500 bottles and available exclusively via GoodDeedsSpirits.com for $95.00, with all profits benefiting the STEPUP Foundation.
