Old Forester Launches The 117 Series: Warehouse I Barrels
Old Forester has announced The 117 Series: Warehouse I Barrels, a limited edition 11 year old bourbon created from heat-cycled barrels aged in Old Forester’s Warehouse I.
Bottled at 95 proof (47.5% ABV), Old Forester The 117 Series: Warehouse I Barrels is described as having aromas of “dark honey, peanut brittle, toasted oak, spiced pear, stonefruit, clove and light-roasted coffee.” The palate exhibits notes of “juicy apricot and orchard fruit, with butterscotch, clove, and nutmeg offering a sweet and spiced profile, and white pepper adding a bit of texture.” It concludes “slightly dry and oaky with pear and white pepper persisting through a long but balanced finish.”
Old Forester The 117 Series: Warehouse I Barrels is now available in limited quantities via the Old Forester Distilling Co. retail shop, the Old Forester online shop, and at select Kentucky retailers for a suggested retail price of $64.99 for a 375 mL bottle.
