WhistlePig Announces PiggyBank Rye Gold Edition
WhistlePig has announced the third release of PiggyBank Rye, its limited edition 10 year old Rye whiskey bottled in a porcine decanter based on a 19th century Berkshire Bitter Pig.
This years release of PiggyBank Rye is presented in a gold coated decanter to celebrate WhistlePig’s standing as the world’s most awarded Rye Whiskey. Inside the decanter, you’ll find WhistlePig’s flagship 10 Year Old Rye, presented with an extra 10 proof – bottled at 110 proof instead of the 100 proof of WhistlePig Small Batch Rye.
WhistlePig PiggyBank Rye Gold Edition is described as having aromas of “mint and dill, with light notes of truffle in the background.” The palate exhibits notes of “black pepper herbaceousness, followed by notes of tobacco, citrus peel, and soft spoken anise.” It concludes with a “long and spicy finish with rich oak tannin to round out the experience.”
WhistlePig PiggyBank Rye Gold Edition will be available beginning November 20th for a suggested retail price of $299.99 for a 1 liter bottle.
