Kavalan Unveils 15th Anniversary Vintage Whisky Duo
Kavalan has announced the launch of its 15th Anniversary limited edition whisky duo, the brand’s oldest whiskies to date.
To commemorate its anniversary, Kavalan’s team selected Spanish Oloroso Sherry and American ex-Bourbon casks from 2009 – a year that also marks the inaugural launch of these two casks in the Solist Series.
Kavalan 15th Anniversary Vintage 2009 Oloroso Sherry Cask Strength Single Malt Whisky is bottled at 50-59.9% ABV and described as having aromas of “plum and mixed dried fruits, balanced by citrus and caramel sweetness, candied-cherries, raisins, almonds, and delicate vanilla.” The palate exhibits notes of “dark chocolate and captivating espresso, followed by toasty brown sugar, intertwined with rich woody notes, and refined tannins with cinnamon and clove.”
Kavalan 15th Anniversary Vintage 2009 ex-Bourbon Cask Strength Single Malt Whisky is bottled at 50-59.9% ABV and described as having aromas of “honey and syrup, roasted almond, and stone fruit, with vanilla and buttery undertones, subtle malt and toasted bread, and rose essential oil.” The palate is described as “like savouring silky almond tofu,” with notes of “intense tropical fruit, dense vanilla ice cream, and a sweet feast of exquisite buttery cake.”
Each 15th Anniversary whisky is housed in a 750 mL bottle and packaged in a presentation box along with a gradient coaster, a metallic-colored Glencairn whisky glass, and a product card.
The Kavalan 15th Anniversary duo is now available in Taiwan and will roll out worldwide this month.
