J.P. Wiser’s Launches 42 Year Old Whisky in U.S.

J.P. Wiser’s has announced the launch of The Decades Series in the U.S.
The first expression in the series is J.P. Wiser’s 42 Year Old, the brand’s oldest age stated release to date. Distilled in 1982, the liquid was matured in a combination of Speyside Single Malt Casks, Canadian Oak barrels, and ex-bourbon barrels before being bottled at 52% ABV (104 proof).
J.P. Wiser’s 42 Year Old is described as having aromas of “green apple, crème brulee, vintage oak, orange tea, sourdough, and dried red fruits.” The palate is “full-bodied” with notes of “dark cherry, English toffee, oakwood, roasted nuts, marble rye, nutmeg, and subtle leather.” It finishes with “cinnamon.”
J.P. Wiser’s 42 Year Old is available at select retailers across the country and online via MashandGrape.com, Flaviar.com, and Speakeasyco.com. It carries a suggested retail price of $350.
