Pursuit Spirits Announces Pursuit United Double Oaked Rye
Pursuit Spirits, the company founded by the creators of the Bourbon Pursuit podcast, has announced the release of Pursuit United Double Oaked Rye.
To create this limited release, Pursuit United’s signature Rye blend undergoes a secondary maturation in French oak that has been lightly toasted and heavily charred. The result is a whiskey that offers aromas of “fresh baked cherry pie, cranberry, cardamom, and nutmeg,” a palate that is “rich with flavors of buttered brown sugar crumbles, tart cherries, and a berry medley jam,” and a finish that “lingers with hints of cherry pipe tobacco, charred oak, and a touch of sweet habanero pepper.”
Pursuit United Double Oaked Rye is bottled at 108 proof (54% ABV) and has a suggested retail price of $69.99. It was released at the Pursuit Spirits distillery today and will also be available through Seelbach’s.
Pursuit United Double Oaked Rye has also been added to the Pursuit United Private Select program, which allows individual retailers and clubs to hand-pick their own single barrel expressions further finished with a variety of oak stave styles.
