Lux Row Distillers Announces Blood Oath Trilogy – Third Edition
Lux Row Distillers has announced Blood Oath Trilogy – Third Edition, the latest collection of limited edition bourbons, or “Pacts,” created by Lux Row Master Distiller John Rempe.
The third edition of the Blood Oath Trilogy contains Pacts 7, 8 and 9 – originally released in 2021, 2022 and 2023, respectively – and is packaged in a custom black wooden display box.
Blood Oath Pact 7 is a blend of a 14 year old ryed bourbon and two 8 year old ryed bourbons, one of which was finished in casks that held Sauternes, a sweet white wine from the Bordeaux region of France. It’s described as having aromas of “caramel, oak, and honey” with flavors of “apricots, honey, and peaches.”
Blood Oath Pact 8 is a blend of a 14 year old ryed bourbon, an 11 year old ryed bourbon, and an 8 year old ryed bourbon finished in Calvados casks, which held apple or pear brandy from the Normandy region in France. It’s described as having aromas of “apple, hints of vanilla, and cinnamon” and flavors of “ripe apples, juicy pears, butterscotch, and subtle hints of chocolate.”
Blood Oath Pact 9 is a blend of a 16 year old ryed bourbon, a 12 year old ryed bourbon, and a 7 year old ryed bourbon finished in Oloroso Sherry casks from the Sherry Triangle region in southwest Spain. It’s described as having aromas of “sweet sherry with hints of ripe fruit” and flavors of “figs, plums, raisins, molasses, chocolate, and tobacco.”
All three Pacts in Blood Oath Trilogy – Third Edition are bottled at 49.3% ABV (98.6 proof) and presented in 750 mL format. Blood Oath Trilogy – Third Edition is limited to 1,400 sets and will be available beginning in September at a suggested retail price of $799.99.
