Old Forester Announces 2024 Birthday Bourbon
Old Forester has announced the 2024 bottling of its annual Birthday Bourbon, a whisky created to celebrate the birthday of Old Forester founder George Garvin Brown.
Old Forester 2024 Birthday Bourbon is the product of 209 barrels that were matured in Warehouses G and L for 12 years, before being married and bottled at 107 proof (53.5% ABV).
The 2024 Birthday Bourbon is described as having aromas of “a bright fruit medley with accents of apricot and apple, complemented by rich spice cake and buttercream icing with undertones of sweet tobacco and warm oak.” The palate exhibits notes of “juicy fruits with toasted oak and warm cinnamon spice.” It concludes with “hints of caramel apple with a long and flavorful mix of sweet tobacco, ground cinnamon, and cacao” on the finish.
Old Forester 2024 Birthday Bourbon will be available in highly limited quantities beginning in September at a suggested retail price of $199.99.
