Ross & Squibb Distillery Announces Remus Repeal Reserve Series VIII

Ross & Squibb Distillery has announced the release of Remus Repeal Reserve Series VIII, the eighth annual offering of the distillery’s limited edition straight bourbon whiskey.
Remus Repeal Reserve features a new medley of bourbons each year, allowing Master Distiller Ian Stirsman and his team of Master Distillers and Master Blenders to experiment with their various mash bills and aged reserves. Remus Repeal Reserve Series VIII is comprised of 9% 2007 (17 year old) bourbon containing 21% rye, 24% 2014 (10 year old) bourbon containing 21% rye, and 67% 2014 (10 year old) bourbon containing 36% rye.
Remus Repeal Reserve Series VIII is described as having aromas of “cherry, candied pecans, and hint of leather.” The palate has notes of maple syrup and cherry followed by fig.” It concludes with “vanilla and oak with lingering notes of baking spice” on the finish.
Bottled at 101 proof (50.5% ABV) and presented non-chill filtered, Remus Repeal Reserve Series VIII carries a suggested retail price of $99.99 per 750 mL bottle and will be available in limited quantities beginning in September.
