Penelope Bourbon Announces Second Annual Release of Toasted Rye
Penelope Bourbon has announced the second annual release of Penelope Toasted Rye.
The limited edition straight Rye whiskey is produced from a mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley and finished in new, freshly toasted barrels with a level 2 char.
Presented non-chill filtered at 100 proof (50% ABV), Penelope Toasted Rye is described as having aromas of “bold, sweet butterscotch,” with a palate of “vanilla and toasted marshmallow balanced with notes of light tobacco and fruit,” concluding with “a sweet dessert character with orange peel and subtle spice” on the finish.
Penelope Toasted Rye is limited to 54,000 bottles and is now available at a suggested retail price of $74.99 per 750 mL bottle.
