Old Forester Launches The 117 Series: Rum Finish
Old Forester has announced The 117 Series: Rum Finish, a limited edition Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whisky finished in rum barrels for approximately six months.
Bottled at 95 proof (47.5% ABV), Old Forester The 117 Series: Rum Finish is described as having aromas of “buttery toffee, banana custard, coconut, and fresh apple.” The palate exhibits notes of “rich tropical fruit led by banana, coconut, and toffee supported by dry barrel spice and tannins.” The finish is “long and dry with a compelling dynamic of creaminess and spice surrounded by plenty of sweet fruit and red licorice.”
Old Forester The 117 Series: Rum Finish is now available in limited quantities via the Old Forester Distilling Co. retail shop and at select Kentucky retailers for a suggested retail price of $59.99 for a 375 mL bottle. Rum Finish is also available through the Old Forester online shop in a two-bottle set for $119.98.
