Kavalan Launches Triple Sherry Cask in U.S.
Kavalan has announced the U.S. launch of Kavalan Triple Sherry Cask, a Taiwanese single malt matured in three types of sherry casks – Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez (PX), and Moscatel.
Launched outside the U.S. in November 2021, Kavalan Triple Sherry Cask is created by fully maturing spirit in Oloroso, PX, and Moscatel casks, then marrying them together in vats to allow the three styles of whiskies to rest and meld together.
Bottled at 43% ABV for the U.S. market, Kavalan Triple Sherry Cask is described as having aromas of “ripe berries, dried fruits, fresh grapes, citrus, chocolate brownie, toffee, cinnamon, clover, spice, oak, and rosemary,” with notes of “sherry dried fruits, candied fruit, caramel, and honey” on the palate.
Kavalan Triple Sherry Cask carries a suggested retail price of $99.99 for a 750 mL bottle.
