High West Distillery has announced the launch of its first Bottled in Bond whiskey, High West Bottled in Bond Rye.

High West Bottled in Bond Rye is produced from a mash bill of 80% rye and 20% malted rye, aged for a minimum of four years in a federally bonded warehouse, and bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV).

High West Bottled in Bond Rye is described as having aromas of “toasted brioche with spiced pear jam, oatmeal raisin cookies, English toffee, sweet rock candy, lavender flowers, and dried ginger.” The palate has notes of “cooked apples with sage, the toasty edge of a sugar cookie, fresh grated nutmeg, cinnamon candies, cacao nibs, and juniper spice.” It concludes with “subtle coconut caramel, center-tin pie crust, and wildflower honey” on the finish.

High West Bottled in Bond Straight Rye Whiskey is available at High West’s website, High West’s Utah distillery and Saloon locations, and at retailers nationwide for a suggested retail price of $79.99.
