Bushmills Unveils Private Reserve Series
Bushmills Irish Whiskey has unveiled its Private Reserve series, a limited edition collection of Irish single malts with rare cask finishes.
Crafted by Master Blender Alex Thomas, the Bushmills Private Reserve series is produced from 100% unpeated malted barley and spring water from the River Bush, and triple distilled in small batches in traditional copper pot stills.
The Bushmills Private Reserves series debuts with four whiskeys – Plum, Bordeaux, Burgundy, and Tequila Casks – with additional expressions to join the series over time.
Bushmills 10 Year Old Plum Cask Finish:
Bottled at 46% ABV (92 Proof) and described as “chestnut colored with notes of sweet vanilla, hazelnut and almond that develops into ripe plum, cherry, and milk chocolate.” SRP: $59.99.
Bushmills 10 Year Old Bordeaux Cask Finish:
Bottled at 46.5% ABV (93 Proof) and described as “deep copper in color with a well-rounded mouthfeel with crisp green apple, lemon, and vanilla, followed by a hint of nutmeg and ginger, and finishes with a glowing spiciness.” SRP: $59.99.
Bushmills 10 Year Old Burgundy Cask Finish:
Bottled at 47% ABV (94 Proof) and described as exhibiting “distinct fruitiness that builds on the tip of the tongue with intense raspberry sweetness preceding flavors of crisp apple and black cherry with a beautiful finish that leads with vanilla truffles and a touch of almond.” SRP: $59.99.
Bushmills 10 Year Old Tequila Cask Finish:
Bottled at 47.5% ABV (95 Proof) and described as “warm gold colored, leading with creamy butterscotch transitioning into spiced vanilla complemented with hints of black olives, anise, and toasted oak.” SRP: $74.99.
