Rabbit Hole has announced the launch of the seventh release in its Founder’s Collection: Amburana, a Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey finished in new Brazilian Oak barrels.

To create Amburana Founder’s Collection, Rabbit Hole took a 12 year old Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey distilled from a mash bill of 78% corn, 12% malted barley, and 10% rye, and finished it in new Amburana Brazilian Oak barrels with a heavy toast and #4 char.

Bottled at a cask strength of 62.7% ABV (125.4 proof), Rabbit Hole Amburana Founder’s Collection is described as having aromas of “vanilla, toasted walnut, caramel, and cherry.” The palate exhibits notes of “ginger snaps, stone fruit, cinnamon, mint, caramelized sugar, and fortified wine.” It concludes with “nutmeg, baking spice, and tobacco leaf” on the finish.

Rabbit Hole Amburana Founder’s Collection is presented in a wooden box engraved with the brand’s rabbit marque, and the bottle features embossed-glass detailing of the brand’s sash label and is sealed with a gold cork.

Rabbit Hole Amburana Founder’s Collection is limited to 1,199 sequentially-numbered bottles and is available for purchase at the Rabbit Hole Distillery and select retailers nationwide for a suggested retail price of $1,100 per bottle.
