Lux Row Distillers Launches Rebel Small Batch Reserve Bourbon
Lux Row Distillers has announced the release of Rebel Small Batch Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, featuring barrels that were hand-selected by Lux Row Distillers Master Distiller John Rempe and blended into small batches.
Rebel Small Batch Reserve is a marriage of barrels from Rebel’s traditional four year old wheated bourbon mash bill, bottled at 110 proof (55% ABV) to deliver a more intense flavor. Rebel Small Batch Reserve is described as having aromas of “honey, vanilla, and caramel,” with a palate of “dark fruit, caramel, and vanilla,” concluding with a “warm finish, followed by a light spice.”
Rebel Small Batch Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey will be available in limited quantities nationwide beginning this month at a suggested retail price of $34.99 for a 750 mL bottle.

I found the transition from sweet notes to roasted oak and peppery spice in the Rebel Small Batch Reserve 110 Proof quite intriguing. It keeps the palate engaged throughout.
