El Tesoro Tequila Launches El Tesoro Mundial Collection: Knob Creek Rye Edition
El Tesoro de Don Felipe Tequila has launched El Tesoro Mundial: Knob Creek Rye Edition, the second installment in The Mundial Collection limited edition cask finishing series.
El Tesoro Mundial: Knob Creek Rye Edition is aged for twelve months in charred-oak barrels that previously held Knob Creek Rye Whiskey for seven years. This is the first and only time El Tesoro has been rested in Knob Creek Rye Barrels.
El Tesoro has also announced that, following the success of the initial release, another iteration of El Tesoro Mundial Collection: The Laphroaig Edition will be released alongside the El Tesoro Mundial Collection: Knob Creek Rye Edition.
El Tesoro Mundial Collection: Knob Creek Rye Edition is bottled at 40% ABV and described as having aromas of “cooked agave, peaches, bread, vanilla, caramel, pineapple, apple, cinnamon, leather, and delicate floral notes.” The palate exhibits notes of “cooked agave, black pepper, cinnamon, dark chocolate, vanilla, orange peel, notes of oak, and spices.” It concludes with a “long” finish with “lingering oak, spices, and mineral notes.”
El Tesoro Mundial Collection: Laphroaig Edition is bottled at 40% ABV and described as having aromas of “cooked agave, peat, vanilla, caramel, sea salt, light notes of citrus, cardamom, and leather.” The palate exhibits notes of “cooked agave, butterscotch, black pepper, spices, seasoned oak, notes of citrus, peat smoke, and sea salt.” It concludes with a “long” finish with “lingering oak and spices, peaty and salty.”
El Tesoro Mundial Collection: Knob Creek Rye Edition and Laphroaig Edition will be available in select markets beginning mid-November 2021 and carries a suggested retail price of $175.00 for a 750 mL bottle.
