Old Forester Releases Second Annual King Ranch Limited Edition Bourbon
Old Forester and King Ranch have announced the release of the second annual batch of their limited edition Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whisky, Old Forester King Ranch.
Bottled at 105 proof (52.5% ABV) from a proprietary batch of Old Forester Bourbon using heavily charred barrels, the bourbon is finished through King Ranch mesquite charcoal created from mesquite trees harvested from the ranch.
Old Forester King Ranch is described as having aromas of “dried cherries, cranberries, toasted pecans, and marshmallows drizzled with sorghum molasses,” notes of “sweet dark chocolate, tobacco, leather spices, toasted and caramelized oak, and nut character” on the palate, and a “long and warming” finish.
Old Forester King Ranch is available only in Texas and carries a suggested retail price of $89.99 for a 750 mL bottle.
