Beam Suntory has announced the launch of Basil Hayden Malted Rye, a new permanent addition to the portfolio distilled from a 100% malted rye mash bill.
Crafted to be a more refined, approachable rye, eighth generation master distiller Freddie Noe created Basil Hayden Malted Rye using a distinct malting process that transforms the rye grain to create a more subtle, mellow spice with delicate sweet and floral notes.
Basil Hayden Malted Rye is bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV) and described as featuring “an elegant floral aroma, soft notes of vanilla and toasted rye on the palate, and a warm spice finish.”
Basil Hayden Malted Rye is available now and carries a suggested retail price of $59.99 for a 750 mL bottle.
