Still Austin Whiskey Co. has announced the launch of a limited edition seasonal series, “Bottled in Bond.” The series will feature four distinct whiskeys, each inspired by the season for which they were crafted.

The first release, Still Austin Bottled in Bond Red Corn Bourbon, is inspired by the summer season and combines the nuttiness of Jimmy Red corn with the sweet spice of rye. Distilled from a mashbill of 36% red corn, 34% white corn, 25% rye, and 5% barley, Red Corn Bourbon was aged at least 4 years and is bottled at 50% ABV (100 proof).

Still Austin Bottled in Bond Red Corn Bourbon is described as having aromas of “orange zest, creamsicle, black tea, shortbread, brown baking spice, and apple crisp.” The palate exhibits notes of “peppermint, brown sugar, marzipan, maple syrup, water buttered biscuit, and toasted almonds.” It concludes with a “complex but luscious” finish of “dark brown sugar, rum raisin, peppercorn, ripe red grapes, cranberry, and dry red wine.”

The bottle’s summer inspired original artwork was created by Austin-local artist, Marc Burckhardt, and features the heat-loving snake and cactus.

Still Austin Bottled in Bond Red Corn Bourbon is available now for a suggested retail price of $79.99.
