Teeling Whiskey Unveils Wonders of Wood Second Edition
Teeling Whiskey has unveiled the Second Edition of Wonders of Wood, a limited edition series of Irish whiskeys created to push the boundaries of flavor by utilizing unique styles of wood for the maturation of Teeling Single Pot Still Whiskey.
The Second Edition in the Wonders of Wood series is a Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey crafted from a recipe of 50% malted barley and 50% un-malted barley, triple distilled at Teeling Whiskey Distillery in Dublin and fully matured in virgin Portuguese oak barrels.
Wonders of Wood Second Edition is described as having aromas of “citrus, old spice, leather, and cloves.” The palate exhibits notes of “toasted oak, savoury marmalade, pepper, and nutmeg,” concluding with “tobacco, pepper, and a vanilla maltiness” on the finish.
Teeling Whiskey Wonders of Wood Second Edition is bottled non-chill filtered and with no added color at 50% ABV. Wonders of Wood Second Edition carries a suggested retail price of €80 and is now available in Ireland at the Teeling Whiskey Distillery, Celtic Whiskey Shop, JJ Fox, and select retailers throughout the country. It’s also now available in select European and Asian markets, and will be rolled out to the US later this year.
