Rabbit Hole Re-Releases Raceking Founder’s Collection
Rabbit Hole has announced that Raceking Founder’s Collection – a five-grain, double chocolate malt bourbon aged in wood-fired, toasted, and charred new American Oak barrels – is being re-released and will subsequently be released annually every fall.
Originally released in 2021, Raceking is the third expression in the Rabbit Hole Founder’s Collection series and was named in honor of Kentucky’s time-honored tradition of horse racing. Created from a mash bill of 70% Corn, 13% Rye, 10% Malted Rye, 4% Chocolate Malted Wheat, and 3% Chocolate Malted Barley, Raceking explores how malting organically expands the range of flavors in whiskey.
Bottled at a cask strength of 109.8 proof (54.9% ABV), the 2022 release of Rabbit Hole Raceking Founder’s Collection is described as having aromas of “rich cocoa, brown sugar, and toasted bread.” The palate exhibits “hints of hazel, cinnamon spice, black cherry, and tobacco,” concluding with “earthy notes of wood and leather complemented by a lingering chocolate” on the finish.
Rabbit Hole Raceking Founder’s Collection is presented in a linen-patterned box featuring the brand’s rabbit marque surrounded by metallic gold appointments and sophisticated accents. The bottle features embossed-glass detailing of the brand’s sash label and is sealed with a gold cork engraved with Rabbit Hole founder and whiskey maker Kaveh Zamanian’s family crest.
The 2022 release of Rabbit Hole Raceking Founder’s Collection is limited to 1,335 sequentially-numbered bottles and will be available first exclusively at the Rabbit Hole Distillery this month, followed by a nationwide retail release in early 2023. Raceking carries a suggested retail price of $395 per bottle.
