Suntory Announces U.S. Release of Hibiki 30 Year Old

Suntory has announced that Hibiki 30 Year Old will be available in the U.S. for the first time. Released in 1997 as a rare, limited edition, Hibiki 30 Year Old is a blend of Yamazaki malt whiskies and mild grain whiskies aged for a minimum or 30 years, representing “the paragon of the Hibiki brand and the art of Japanese craftsmanship”.
Hibiki 30 Year Old is bottled at 43% ABV and is described as having aromas of “leather, raisin, prune, and sweet chestnut.” The palate has notes of “brown sugar, dried fig, apricot jam, cedar, and pain d’epices (gingerbread),” concluding with an “extremely rich” finish of “cinnamon and Mizunara (Japanese Oak).”
Hibiki 30 Year Old will be available in the U.S. beginning this month for a suggested retail price of $5,000.
