High West Launches A Midwinter Night’s Dram The Encore
High West has announced A Midwinter Night’s Dram The Encore, a distillery only limited release of High West Rendezvous Rye finished in White Port barrels.
The Encore is described as having aromas of “underripe apricots, ginger poached pears, soft licorice, apple butter on fresh bread, Earl Grey tea, cedar box, and geraniums after a spring rain.” The palate has notes of “peach marmalade, grapefruit zest, Danish pastry with brandy drizzle, grated nutmeg, vanilla meringue pie, and roasted pecans”, finishing with “marzipan and chocolate mint leaves.”
High West A Midwinter Night’s Dram The Encore is bottled non-chill filtered at 50.8% ABV (101.6 proof) and will be available in limited quantities beginning October 2nd.
