Berry Bros. & Rudd Announce The Nordic Casks #2
Berry Bros. & Rudd have announced The Nordic Casks #2, their second collection of whiskies from the Nordic region.
The Nordic Casks #2 consists of five whiskies from Nordic distilleries, all bottled unchill-filtered and of natural color:
- A 2012 vintage Swedish single malt from Smӧgen Distillery matured in an Oloroso Hogshead and bottled in 2022 at 59.6% ABV, yielding 284 bottles.
- A 2017 vintage Danish rye from Stauning Distillery finished in a Moscatel cask and bottled in 2022 at 58.9% ABV, yielding 254 bottles.
- A 2019 vintage Danish single malt from Thy Distillery matured in Quarter Casks and bottled in 2022 at 57.6% ABV, yielding 235 bottles.
- A 2013 vintage Finish single malt from Teerenpeli Distillery matured in an Oloroso Hogshead and bottled in 2022 at 59.9% ABV, yielding 217 bottles.
- The world’s first cross-Nordic blend, Vindӧga, a vatting of Sherry cask matured single malts from Smögen (Sweden), Fary Lochan (Denmark), Teerenpeli (Finland), Mosgaard (Denmark), Myken (Norway), and High Coast (Sweden) distilleries bottled at 59.7% ABV, yielding 146 bottles.
The Nordic Casks #2 will be available for purchase beginning September 15th in the UK from Abbey Whisky and Berry Bros. & Rudd.
