Teeling Whiskey Releases Wonders of Wood First Edition in the US
Teeling Whiskey has announced the US release of Wonders of Wood First Edition, the first expression in a series of limited edition Single Pot Still Irish Whiskeys created to push the boundaries of flavor by utilizing unique styles of wood during maturation.
The First Edition in the Wonders of Wood series is a Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey crafted from a recipe of 50% malted barley and 50% un-malted barley, triple distilled at Teeling Whiskey Distillery in Dublin and fully matured in virgin Chinkapin American White Oak barrels.
Bottled non-chill filtered and with no added color at 50% ABV, Wonders of Wood First Edition is described as having aromas of “sweet toffee, butterscotch, caramel biscuit, and wood tannins,” with notes of “banana bread, ginger spices, and cream soda” on the palate, concluding with “wood spice, dark chocolate, and a hint of black pepper” on the finish.
Teeling Whiskey Wonders of Wood First Edition is available now at a suggested retail price of $99.
